Morpheus Shelman ( Real name unknown ) begun his career in Scotland where from an early age he trained as a Professional Wrestler, following the footsteps of his father, who was a marginaly well known Pro wrestler in the 60's and 70's apearing on ITV's World of sport alongside UK Legends such as Les Kellet, Giant Haystacks and The infamous Kendo Nagasaki.
However despite the contacts and growing up in the industry, Morpheus found himself struggling to make any real impact in this industry, and grew tired of constantly being in his fathers shadow.
Realising that he needed something unique from his father, in order to stand out on his own. after a lot of thought and debate, he decided to leave Scotland behind and head for Greece to learn Grecco Roman Wrestling. After all, what better way to learn the art of wrestling, than from the very people who invented it?
Unfortunately, fate was to play a cruel hand once again and Morpheus found himself being mugged upon arrival to the country. He lost all his possesions, cash and even his passport.
Now left in this strange country with only the clothes he was wearing... he had no choice but to Live on the streets, begging stealing, fighting... whatever it took to survive.
But Madame Fate, had not finished with Morpheus yet... It would seem that she had other plans in store for young Morpheus. And a trip to the local market one day, for a spot of pick pocketing led to him becoming involved with the Cult of Morpheus - God of Dreams. Hence his name. It was a simple arrangement at first... He needed food and shelter, and in return, he would help them with a few little favors here and there. Reluctantly, Morpheus agreed... Hey, he needed somewhere to stay, and he can always leave if things get out of hand right?
Time went on and more and Morpheus found himelf doing more and more " favors " for these Cultists. Anything they asked... he would do it, from recruiting new brethren.. to working as a small time enforcer. Whatever they asked, He would do it... and in return they would provide him with the best of everything. The finest clothing, beautiful women, food, shelter anything he wanted. It seemed almost too good to be true.... and it was.
The appeal of all this was a little too temping for Morpheus and he found himslef being further indoctrinated into the cult's mysticism, and occult practices. It would seem that Morpheus had a natural affinity towards mysticism, and the occult... not only learning fast but developing a few unique abilities of his own, to the amazement of his brethren. And as time pased he begun to rise within the cults ranks. It was then that fate played her hand once more..
You see... Morpheus is not only the God of dreams.. he is also the God of opium... This was how the cult made most of their money... dealing in said Opium. A fact that was aparently unknown to Morpheus. Or if he did know about this.... he is keeping his lips tightly sealed about it. Well.. anyway... this was to catch up with them as word of this somehow leaked out to the press and to the DEA. Leading to the cult being busted for opium dealing. Buring the raid many of the members including Morpheus fled scattering across globe.
Down on his luck, and with nowhere else to turn... Morpheus returns to the only other way of life he knows....back to the world of Professional wrestling.
